Academy Life: It's All About Not Dying (Probably)
So, you've been isekai'd! Congratulations! But, oh no, you're in an academy setting. Don't panic! We've all been there (in manga form, at least).
Step 1: Figure Out Who The Main Character Is (And Become Their Best Friend)
Seriously, this is crucial. Is there a ridiculously overpowered transfer student? A quiet kid with hidden skills? A noble with a tragic backstory?
Find them. Befriend them. Your survival rate will skyrocket.
Think of it like this: they're the protagonist of a TV show, and you just snagged a recurring role. Smart move!
Step 2: Avoid Obvious Death Flags Like the Plague
Death flags are those moments where characters say things like, "I'll be right back!" or "This is the last time I'll ever see the sun." Run. Just run.
Also, never, ever, ever volunteer for anything. Group projects? Suddenly you have a terrible allergy. Dangerous missions? Mysterious illness. You get the idea.
Remember that time you innocently decided to explore that creepy, abandoned building? Yeah, don’t do that in the academy, just don't!
Step 3: Learn to Detect Evil Noble Brats (and Their Henchmen)
Every academy has them. They're usually blonde, handsome, and possess an arrogance that could power a small city.
Avoid eye contact. Agree with everything they say, even if it's obviously wrong. A well-placed "Yes, Lord Von Douchebag!" can save your life.
If you see them bullying the main character? That's your cue to... quietly disappear. Play dead if necessary. Pretend to be a potted plant.
Step 4: Master the Art of Studying (Sort Of)
Okay, realistically, you're probably not going to be the top student. But, appearing competent is key.
Pay attention in class (or at least pretend to). Take notes (even if they're just doodles of dragons fighting). Answer questions (correctly-ish).
Just remember, if all else fails, blame it on the main character's incredible power disrupting the flow of magic or whatever. Always a good excuse.
Step 5: Get Good at Running Away
This might be the most important skill of all. When things go south (and they will), you need to be able to evacuate quickly and efficiently.
Know the layout of the academy. Practice your escape routes. Consider investing in smoke bombs (disguised as bath salts, perhaps?).
And remember: when in doubt, flee! Survival is the name of the game! "Run Away" is your middle name now!
Step 6: Develop a Useful Skill (Besides Breathing)
Basic survival is good, but having a unique talent can make you invaluable. Can you bake delicious cookies that boost morale?
Are you secretly a master strategist? Do you have an encyclopedic knowledge of obscure plants and their properties?
Find your niche and exploit it. A well-timed cookie or a perfectly placed distraction could save the day (and your skin).
Step 7: Remember, It's Just A Manga! (Probably)
Take a deep breath. Remember, you're (probably) not actually in mortal danger. Have fun with it!
Cheer on the main character, laugh at the ridiculous situations, and enjoy the ride.
Who knows? You might even get a romantic subplot. Just avoid the yandere types. Trust me on this one.
